A secret clearance is a type of background check that is required for individuals who will have access to classified information. This clearance is necessary for this position as it is for a governmental contract. In order to obtain a secret security clearance, individuals must go through a thorough background check that includes an evaluation of their employment history, financial records, and other personal information and they must live in Canada during past 5 years. Secret clearances are usually valid for a period of 10 years.

Successful candidates must have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
